RIDDLE'S BUNNY BARN
We currently have a 10'X18' shed that houses our Netherland Dwarf, Lionhead and Holland Lop rabbits. There are two windows that provide a cross breeze in the Spring and Fall. The shed is heated in the Winter and has A/C in the Summer. Our Flemish Giants live in a 5'X6' outdoor hutch. In the Winter, they are given extra hay/straw and are sheltered from the weather. In the Summer, they are given frozen water bottles on days 90 degrees and higher. If the temperature is expected to be higher than 95 degrees, they spend the day in the bunny barn.
We have 21 Havahart stackable cages, 6 Bass stackable cages and 3 outdoor hutches. We clean our drop pans out weekly and fill them with fresh pine shaving, sprayed with a pet safe bug spray and baking soda. All of our bunnies have at least 3 play toys in their caget. Cages are spot cleaned as needed. They sometimes use litter boxes Fall-Spring filled with "Woody" wood pellet bedding. Our bucks have an Edstrom watering system, which works great. I bought a Nivek watering system for the does, but I don't recommend it at all. Now I'm back to using water bottles for the does until I can save up money to get Edstrom watering systems for all of them. The Flemish Giants are outdoors and use water bottles in the summer and crocks in the winter. I de-worm them all quarterly and they all get a weekly health check-up. Check out my medicine chest.
If you are interested in visiting our bunnies. Please contact me. I will let you know what times will work in the near future. We usually allow visitors on weekends. Please note that this a hobby, not a money making business. All of the money we get goes right back into the bunnies. We try to allow visitors as much as possible, but don't have business hours.
